RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - 07/22/10) - Skyline Gold Corporation ("the Company") (TSX-V:
SK -
News), a company engaged in the exploration and development of its Bronson Slope porphyry style gold-copper deposit in north western British Columbia's 'Golden Triangle', is pleased to announce further assay results from its 2010 diamond drilling exploration program for four NQ drill holes: SK-10-02, -03, -07, and -08. The drill pad location is situated approximately 1,500 meters south east of the Bronson Slope deposit, on the "Snip-1" claim and on-trend with the Bronson Slope deposit mineralization.
Of note is the interval 46.62 meters to 55.60 meters (m) in drill hole SK-10-07 drilled at a -52.5 degree inclination to horizontal. There are numerous references in the drill log to hydrothermal injections of the contained semi-massive to massive textured sulphides in this zone and a mineralized fault zone containing sulphides, gold and silver is noted at 52.11 m.
The assays for three samples in this mineralized structure are as follows:
------------------------------------------------------------------
From To Width Gold SFM Silver Copper Lead Zinc
(m) (m) (m) (g/t) (g/t) (%) (%) (%)
------------------------------------------------------------------
52.11 52.59 0.48 25.02 642.8 2.99 0.69 1.21
52.59 52.90 0.31 15.33 282.3 3.24 0.41 1.78
52.90 53.34 0.44 5.81 160.3 1.09 1.20 2.89
------------------------------------------------------------------
52.11 53.34 1.23 15.71 379.34 2.37 0.80 1.95
------------------------------------------------------------------
Elevated silver-to-gold ratios of 26:1, 18:1, and 28:1, respectively, are noted in the above three assay intervals at this fault.
Also of note is the interval 60.43 m to 63.08 m in drill hole SK-10-08 drilled at a -60 degree inclination to horizontal below hole SK-10-07. The drill core log for this interval notes numerous large clasts, some in excess of 7.0 cm, of sericite-altered wallrock included within the massive sulphide interval. The assays for 5 samples from this hydrothermally mineralized structure are as follows.

The drill core contains mineralization consisting of disseminated to semi-massive and massive textured sulphides containing pyrite, sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite and minor pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite with occasional instances of visible gold and electrum. The host rocks are fine grained volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks.
All of the above holes are drilled from the historic '911' drill pad from which 2009 drill holes SK-09-01 and -02 and 2010's drill hole SK-10-01 are also drilled. Hole SK-10-02 is the same approximate azimuth as drill holes SK-09-02 and SK-10-01 for which results have been previously released (see the Company's news releases dated November 18, 2009 and June 24, 2010, respectively).
The 2010 drilling campaign was initiated on May 31, 2010 and, through to June 11, a total of 1,350 m were drilled. Drilling was then paused while preliminary assay, induced polarization geophysical survey, and other data were reviewed followed by further exploration planning. Drilling resumed on June 19, 2010 and the 2,081 m drilling program was completed on June 24, 2010.
Raw assay data will be posted to the Company's website. Assay results for the five remaining holes drilled in the 2010 campaign are pending and will be released as received.
Assays were completed by Assayers Canada, an ISO 9001:2008 certified facility. The following assay procedures were utilized:
