This position will be at the Cordero Rojo Mine located 30 miles south of Gillette, WY.
Scope: Assist sites in the development and implementation of Vibration Programs. In areas where Vibration programs currently exist, assist the respective teams to systemize the process in order to proactively use this technology to detect and minimize failures.
Duties & Responsibilities: Must take a personal and active approach to health, safety and environment and understand and follow all state, federal and company health, safety and environmental requirements applicable to the work area and tasks assigned. Provide mentorship for this technology to the sites. Collect, analyze and report vibration findings in a timely manner. Troubleshoot performance problems with data analysis and calculations. Help embed the process within CPE. Ensure corrective actions are implemented. Champion Business Unit vibration programs. Train site personnel to collect data. Work closely with the sites to ensure program sustainability. Conduct onsite audits. Develop system and reporting standards. Develop standards for hardware and software. Develop frequency of inspections. Provide machine health data for major outages. Perform as needed data collection to assist in troubleshooting. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field. Vibration Analyst I certification required. Vibration Analyst II certification preferred. Knowledge of federal and state mining laws is preferred. High School diploma and valid drivers license. Knowledge of vibration technology and good understanding of use. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in data gathering, analysis and reporting. Knowledge of vibration analysis, equipment installation and monitoring, ultrasonic testing, IR scanning, precision alignment and balancing. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision. Good computer skills.
