The role of the Petrophysicist is central to much of the service provision within this company. Working within a multi discipline team, people will depend on you for your informed knowledge of rock properties, facies, core and log analysis to reinforce their interpretations and theories. Your predictions on porosity, permeability and pressure values will enhance the day-to-day management of the reservoir, crucial to well bore stability, sand management and production enhancement. You will be devising solutions in difficult conditions and in challenging locations.
Applicants must be comfortable taking lead and have seasoned experience with relevant academic qualifications. Those considered suitable will be educated to MSc level in a relevant discipline, and will have demonstrable knowledge of their chosen field. Ideal candidates will have had hands on experience working in Petrophysics and must be keen to develop their skills in a challenging environment. The successful candidate will be familiar working with the standard industry software, hold a track record of working on field development projects and appraisal planning and drilling. Our client is particularly interested in hearing from those able to generate quick detailed petrophysical analysis on individual wells and at field/regional scale with prompt and concise reporting to management. Highly motivated and with good interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to work in an integrated team environment with the minimum of supervision, to analyse petrophysical data efficiently Familiarity with Geolog and Petrel would be a distinct advantage.
