An independent E&P company with a significant number of reserves seeks to recruit a senior level Reservoir Engineering professional for their Aberdeen office. Ongoing successful acquisitions mean that this company now has established operations in numerous countries. Producing regions include North Sea, West Africa and North Africa. The successful candidate will be based in Aberdeen and play a pivotal role in providing reservoir engineering expertise to international operated assets, both in production support and development activities.
A highly motivated and driven RE professional would find the range of work involved particularly appealing and the appointee can expect to be involved in:

• Forming part of and leading, multidisciplinary subsurface teams to develop reservoir models, match historical production and optimise future development through additional development and/or changes in production policy
• Preparation of reserves estimates and associated production profiles
• Well test design and interpretation
• Classification of SCAL and fluid analysis and PVT requirements and interpretation thereof
• Guiding/mentoring of less experienced engineers
• Recommending technically sound original resolutions to production issues. Presenting these solutions to partners/managers.

Our client would like to hear from those qualified to MSc level in Petroleum Engineering or closely related discipline and have gained broad reservoir engineering skills with an oil company or a service company involved in reservoir studies.
A proven history in running integrated reservoir engineering studies using both analytical and simulation techniques is a must. In addition a detailed knowledge of reserves estimation, production forecasting and preparation of field development plans is sought. Other key skills sought include a working familiarity with relevant industry software applications, sound RE judgement and strong computer literacy.
This role within a multidisciplinary setting would be best suited to those with strong communication skills, a flexible and resourceful approach and those capable of working on their own initiative.
