Large, global and highly successful subsurface consultancy has opportunities for Senior level Geophysicists at this time. This company’s proven track record with their O&G producing clients have seen the reputation of each of the teams around the globe go from strength to strength. They hold an excellent track record in solving subsurface and well issues and adding value to a variety of businesses. The successful candidate will ideally have an interpretation background and hold both development & exploration experience. Some geological modelling skills would also be of benefit
This is a varied role, with plenty of scope to stretch your technical capabilities with evaluation and development of assets through the implementation of geophysical techniques. Working in close co-operation with the existing multidisciplinary team of Geologists, Reservoir Engineers & Drillers, the role will involve exposure to all phases of the asset life cycle. Should you wish to develop your career towards that of a mentor, there will also be possibilities to provide technical and team leadership to the Geoscience function and to multi-disciplinary project teams.
Applicants should ideally be educated to MSc level (or higher) in relevant Geosciences discipline. This is a role with a strong technical focus and on that basis interviewees will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience of some or all of the following: - Evaluation of geological and geophysical data, reports and literature - Experience of standard industry interpretation, mapping and modelling software - QCing well and seismic data and propose additional work, reprocessing or acquisition of new data or special studies as required - Significant seismic interpretation experience (2D & 3D), and of modelling seismic and attribute data to aid interpretation or support proposals for further studies - Provision of input for static and dynamic modelling studies and the planning and positioning of wells & evaluation and quantification of uncertainty and risk - Ability to generate innovative and imaginative solutions
Our client is interested in hearing from versatile Geophysicists with excellent communications skills (fluent in written and spoken English language) and good interpersonal and analytical skills. In addition to your technical capabilities, at interview you are likely to be able to demonstrate your capabilities with regard to: • General leadership • Operational and logistics skills • Ability to work to tight deadlines • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
